Community Overview
Summary
This Strategic Plan for Sustainable Economic Development is a living document that guides the APCFNC in supporting member communities toward the achievement of their socio-economic development goals. Living documents are ever evolving to meet community needs, adapt to external changes and report on progress. The plan the Chiefs endorsed promotes a common vision of success to build a sustainable economy for member communities. Based on integrated input from a wide range of views, the plan outlines goals, outcomes for success, measurement and evaluation tools and success stories associated with each goal. This plan has been and will continue to be informed by the collective thoughts and experience of Chiefs and Economic Development Officers across the region and a wide range of complementary research being done across the region and the country with regard to sustainable economic development. Finally, the plan also proposes new vehicles needed to properly evaluate the success of the full plan to ensure ongoing accountability for progress.
