Atlantic Indigenous Economic Integrated Research Program (AIEDIRP)

APC’s Economic Development department exists to provide insight, advice, information, and training pertinent to the economic development of Atlantic First Nations communities. The department supports our communities in their unique efforts to enact the Atlantic Aboriginal Economy Building Strategy (AAEBS), also known as the “Chiefs’ Strategy,” helping to build prosperous, autonomous, and sustainable Nations. Part of the Economic Development department is the Atlantic Indigenous Economic Development Integrated Research Program (AIEDIRP), whose main purpose is to work with Indigenous communities to improve the knowledge base concerning Atlantic Indigenous economic development in order to improve the lives of Indigenous peoples in the region.
