Georgianna Barlow & Vanessa Nevin
The Atlantic Policy Congress of First Nations Chiefs has been mandated since November of 2004 to provide outreach and information to Atlantic survivors, their families and communities so that they would be aware of the latest issues and negotiations taking place with the Residential School issue such as the Final Settlement Agreement. The goal of the APC is to organize, facilitate and encourage dialogue on options that are available to survivors regarding the Final Settlement Agreement. To date, the APC has conducted 80 outreach sessions to as many as 1382 people, both Native and non-native. Information sessions have also grown to include any interested agencies and organizations. The APC will continue to update and provide information to all survivors, communities and the general public on the
