Each goal has a list of actions, broken down into specific tasks to complete, in order to meet the objectives by the first year.
Main Goals
Goal 1: To increase Aboriginal control of land, resources and property throughout Atlantic Canada.
Goal 2: To strengthen Aboriginal Peoples businesses so that ownership, income, and employment from businesses are comparable to non-Aboriginal rates.
Goal 3: To develop a skilled Aboriginal workforce that can fully participate in the regional economy.
Goal 4: To establish and maintain sound baseline information on the Atlantic Aboriginal economy, to provide evidence of progress and opportunity.
NOTE: This committee/work is on hold temporarily until the Baseline Data Study advisory committee for the AAEDIRP is clarified, so as avoid duplication.
