Senior Housing & Infrastructure Committee
The AFNHIN Senior committee's is a senior-level decision-making forum whose membership consists of: 3 Chiefs each from Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, 1 Chief each from Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador, as well as two Assembly of First Nations Regional Vice Chiefs, and one representative from the APCFNC, Regional Director Generals from INAC and Environment Canada, Regional Director Health Canada and General Manager from CMHC.
The main objectives of the Senior committee are to provide vision and leadership to the AFNHIN committees in addressing the priorities of Atlantic First Nations communities in areas of housing, water/wastewater, emergency management and infrastructure.
The Senior Housing and Infrastructure committee consists of the following members:

Regional Housing and Infrastructure
The AFNHIN Regional Committee will provide quality advice and strategic direction in the areas of housing & infrastructure in the Atlantic First Nation communities.
The mandate of the Regional Committee in collaboration with key federal departments is to initiate proactive discussions, provide quality advice and develop strategic direction on Housing and Infrastructure programs and initiatives.
The Atlantic First Nations Housing & Infrastructure Network (AFNHIN) works in partnership with the key federal/provincial and First Nations responsible in the areas of housing and infrastructure.
The "Network" is represented by federal, provincial stakeholders and Tribal Organizations and councils which are identified as follows; North Shore Mi'kmaq District Council (NSMDC), Confederacy of Mainland Mi'kmaq (CMM), Saint John River Valley Tribal Council (SJRVTC), Mi'kmaq Confederacy of Prince Edward Island (MCPEI), Union of Nova Scotia Indians (UNSI), Union of New Brunswick Indians (UNBI), MAWIW Council, Health Canada, INAC, Environment Canada, CMHC and APC.
